Spaghetti & Meatballs

This is always a family favorite recipe! It’s fast, easy and budget friendly. Whenever I prepare this meal I make two since 1/2 a bag of meatballs is more than enough for our family. We always have leftovers!

This is a budget friendly meal too. The total grocery bill for two meal kits is $17.32. This makes this meal roughly $8.66 for the family. All prices are pulled from the Walmart Online Grocery App as of November 2019 and do not include coupons or sales. You could easily make this meal for less if you use generic, coupons and shop sales.

Here’s what I usually buy:

So here are the simple instructions to make this easy dinner.

INGREDIENTS:

2 jars of Marinara Sauce
1 bag of meatballs
1 package of spaghetti pasta

MAKE TODAY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pour the 2 jars of spaghetti sauce into the crockpot. Put about 1/2 the bag of the frozen meatballs in the crockpot

2. Cook on low for about 4-6 hours or on high 2.5 hours.

3. Right before cooking dinner, boil up the pasta per the package instructions and drain. Quickly assemble some butter garlic toast or place garlic rolls into the air fryer or oven.

4. Serve it up and enjoy!

FREEZER PREP INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Label the ziplock bags – spaghetti and meatballs. Crockpot on high for 2.5 hours or low for 4-6 hours. Serve with spaghetti and garlic bread.

2. Put about 1/2 the bag of frozen meatballs into each of the ziplock bags. Pour two jars of sauce in each bag.

3. That’s it. Lay the bags flat and freeze.

4. On the night before you serve them, thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Then simply dump the kit in the crockpot and dinner will be nearly done when you get home. All you will have to do is boil the pasta and toast the garlic bread.
