Salisbury Steak Crockpot Style

Salisbury steak is a good. What’s better? A shortcut crockpot version that can be easily made into a freezer prep crockpot dump kit. Now that’s just plain awesome!

I love this recipe because I can make the crockpot dump kit on a day when I’m cooking ground beef. I usually get two pans going, brown a bunch of hamburger, drain it, dump the ingredients into a ziplock and I’ve got a crockpot kit to put in the freezer for a super busy day.

Dinner comes together incredibly fast when you get home from your busy day as all you’ve got to do is whip up some instant mashed potatoes and steam some veggies or microwave a can of green beans.

On a budget? Who’s not? This recipe is the perfect meal to keep your food cost under control. The entire meal comes together for less than $10! You can feed the entire family for the cost of one person eating at a fast food restaurant. Prices based upon the Wal-Mart online grocery store app (without coupons or sales) as of November 2019 – Hamburger $4.44, mushroom soup $.50, French onion soup $.76, dry onion soup mix (.$75), sliced mushrooms ($1.48 or can $.87), instant mashed potatoes ($2.00) and a can of green beans ($.50). That comes to $9.82!
